Privacy Policy for DHRUV

The DHRUV mobile application is developed and maintained by the North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), Department of Space (DOS), Government of India (GOI). This policy outlines our commitment to user privacy and data security. We handle all data in compliance with internal security standards.

2. Information Collection and Use

We collect only the minimum data necessary for the application to function securely:

• Email Address: Used exclusively for identity verification and secure sign-in via OTP (One-Time Password) processed through our internal servers.
• No Public Registration: Registration is restricted. User accounts are pre-authorized and created by the administrator.
• Location Data: The app requests access to your device's location solely to provide map-based visualization and spatial context. This data is processed locally on the device to render your position on the map and is not tracked or shared.

3. Data Storage and Security

All authentication data is handled securely by NESAC internal servers. We do not use third-party authentication or analytics providers. We implement strict administrative and technical security protocols to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

• No Commercial Use: We do not sell, trade, or rent user data to third parties.
• Legal Compliance: Information may only be shared with authorized government agencies if required by Indian Law or for national security purposes.

5. User Rights and Data Deletion

Users may contact the administrator at NESAC to request account deactivation or to update their registered email address. Data is retained only as long as the user is authorized by the department for official use.
